They are not international and are therefore guilty of false advertising.|||They lie three times.
They aren't international.
They aren't really a "house".
...and they don't ONLY serve pancakes. They have full breakfasts, but I bet they sell more waffles than pancakes anyway.
Sue them three times.|||It is called "International" simply because we serve pancakes that originate from many different countries. As far as the "house of Pancakes", Pancakes come with just about everything. As far as it being a house, the original restaurants were built to resemble an A framed house.

|||I think there's an IHOP in Canada ...|||well the world series ain't exactly the world series either, is it?|||By "international", they are referring to the kitchen help. Nobody back there is American.|||Go for it...everyone else is in the sue city...why not you!!!|||Actually it is international, even if it is largely based in the US. So yes, you could sue them, and they would rip you apart.|||I've waited 15 minutes for a burger at a drivethru of a fast food restuarant....can I sue? MMMMMM.....lifetime supply of pancakes...lol|||you are technically right!! go for it!! let me know if ya win!!!|||I too have suffered grievously at having not being able to find International Houses of Pancakes through out the world. Canada's another country??|||and why does minute rice take five minutes|||They are not referring to the corporation as international they are referring to the different types of pancakes. i.e. Belgian waffles.|||u can sue anyone. But the issue is this: do u have a claim? Did their advertisment harm u in some way? For example, did travel abroad soley to eat at IHOP only to discover that the franchise only operates in the US? Or, did u invest in an IHOP franchise; for the sole purpose of opening up in, say Jakarta, where pork is not allowed to be sold or culturally forbidden? For a law suit to have merit in this type of situation, the plaintiff must have suffered a harm under the pretense of the advertisement, etc. (I am not advising anyone. I am simply stating the common understanding of harm and a claim. Please seek qualified legal council in your jurisdiction.) Michael|||You could sue, but you would lose because you are wrong. You would likely end up with a judgment against you for the amount of money it would cost IHOP to defend itself against such a ridiculous lawsuit.

Good Luck!
