But the issue is this: do u have a claim? Did their advertisment harm u in some way? For example, did travel abroad soley to eat at IHOP only to discover that the franchise only operates in the US? Or, did u invest in an IHOP franchise; for the sole purpose of opening up in, say Jakarta, where pork is not allowed to be sold or culturally forbidden? For a law suit to have merit in this type of situation, the plaintiff must have suffered a harm under the pretense of the advertisement, etc. (I am not advising anyone. I am simply stating the common understanding of harm and a claim. Please seek qualified legal council in your jurisdiction.) Michael|||You could sue, but you would lose because you are wrong.
