i'm sure not going to college ( i have no money) and my grades are lousy c's,i try to bring my grades up but studying is very hard to me. (lack of time plus i have to work till late night). have been working at McDonald's for three years and have no money saved (help family pay bills). my dream has always been to become a french and german teacher but my family is in large economic crisis. my grades are pretty lousy so no hope for scholarship. college is expensive and if i were to take a loan i mostly like will not be able to pay it back. with everything i have to pay. i'm the oldest and have to work to help my parents.|||They do have scholarships and financial aide to help...
Financial Aide has covered most of my college tuition each semester, every student qualifies and its not a loan, you never have to pay it back, its a government grant, they give out this money to students to promote the economy and give students the opportunity to go to college, I say go to a community college, its about 2,000 a semester, get Straight C's in college (your future employer will never know; they will only see your degree, not your grades). Get your 2 year degree, get a job, with a 2 year degree, you will probably start off making about 30k a year, which is pretty good for someone in their younger 20's

And a high school diploma is wayyyyy better than nothing at all

Currently I am 19 attending college, do not have a degree yet, but I do have my diploma and a family to raise (Have a 2 yr old daughter and ALOT of expenses including my car; apartment; etc... anyway, I have my high school diploma and I have a decent job, I work for a mortgage company, I am not go to disclose what I make annually but I will tell you I would not be working there if I didn't have my HS diploma|||Do you want to work at McDonald's for the rest of your life? Because that's what you'll have to do with no high school diploma or GED. In fact, to be a manager at McDonald's you must have a diploma or GED.

It doesn't matter if you think you won't go to college, you still need to graduate. Also, you might keep in mind that you may be eligible for a grant or financial aid so the thought of going to college may not be as hopeless as you think.

Good luck to you.|||do whatever you can to get into the college! get the loan and over time pay it off, get a tutor! ! ! its better that you have a chance at a job after college than not going to college at all, after college and getting a job you can help you family even more! ! ! GOOOD LUUUCK|||without a high school diploma life is going to be extremely hard for you and your hypothetical family. Even if college is not for you not finishing high school will become a problem for getting a job that's half decent and with opportunity to progress in it.|||Don't drop out of high school. It severely limits your options. If you find you can go to college later, after your life calms down, you'll be glad you have your diploma so you can get started right away.|||Don't drop out- you won't get anywhere without a high school diploma. Stay in school, and try to get a job after you graduate.|||noo stay through school. If you can atleast graduate from high school you'll have more job opportunities as a high school dropout would|||You should still get your HS diploma, you'll need it to get a better job if you ever want one.
Just stick through it even if you wont go to college.|||No.
STUDY.
get a tutor.|||get as much education you could possibly get.|||No!
Even if you don't go to college, a HS diploma is better than nothing.|||No! Are you kidding me? Do you know how much difference a high school diploma makes?|||you know, i had most of the same problems, other than the financial aspect....i didnt do well in h.s., and so i thought i would never do anything with my life! well, shortly before graduation, i decided to join the army (not b/c i sucked at school, i wanted to serve our country!!!). almost 4 years later, i am halfway through college! the army will allow you to have a full time job, they train you and prepare you for if you choose to re-enter the civilian world, and you can still go to college. i know its not for everyone, but its something to think about if you truly dont think you can afford college on your own...
dont give up on h.s. tho. my mother inlaw never went to college, but b/c she had that h.s. diploma, she still had a lot of doors open for her proffessionally!!!|||get your GED. which is a high school equivalence. than you can go to a state college in which you can you can get financial aid and some other types of scholarships from your GED class. or you can find a job that doesn't require college.

see in my case I dropped out of school and i'm about to get my ged. i took some classes to get ready for it..it was very easy i got bad grades in school and I still managed to do this. I want to be a cosmologist and there is a csmo school in the next town so i'll go there..later i might take business classes so i can own my own business...and i can do this all without graduating high school.|||Even though your situation and your family's situation is not very good right now, that doesn't mean that it will always be that way. It is always best to graduate from high school regardless if you want to go on to a higher education or go right in to the work force. McDonald's will hire high school students, but if you'd like to move on some day to a better paying job, very few will even look at your application if you haven't graduated high school or at least gotten your GED. Yes, college is expensive, but not all scholarships are based solely on your grades. Some are need based and some have no criteria related to grades or need. You have to do a lot of research to find them, though. If you have a dream to one day go to college than finish high school. Even if you can't do it right away because you have to work full time to help your family there will come a time when things will get better. Getting a high school diploma tells your future employer that you can finish what you started. Don't ever give up on your dreams. They may be hard to fulfill, but it isn't impossible for you to go to college. Based on your economic difficulties you may likely qualify for a grant which is money you don't have to pay back. You can also go to a community college to get your basic courses which is quite a bit cheaper than a 4 year university. It may take you a while to get a college education, but I think you can do it.|||Please do not drop out of school. You a High School dipoma you will be able to get a good paying job.How does Community College sound?

Start studying and get a tutor, do ALL of your homework. If you do 100% of your homework and classwork, then even if you score low on the tests, you can still manage to get a B in the class :) Maybe if you have enough time, apply for a second job to help save up for college?
It might take a few years to save up, but that's OKAY! Success doesn't happen right away!

Good luck and please don't drop out!!!|||NO DO NOT DROP OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!
