OK, so it's called the International House of Pancakes. Such a title would suppose that a variety of pancakes from around the world were living at their facilities. Funnily, A) the pancakes are not international and B) even if they were, pancakes are not living things so it would be impossible for them to have a house. Can I sue for false advertising?|||well in todays world you can sue anybody for anything... but will you win is another thing|||Pancakes are served in other countries and IHOP does use recipes from other countries, German and France come to mind. Therefore, they can use "international". Since a structure is used to serve the pancakes, they can call what they want. A dog has no legal claim to the "dog house" they live in but it is still called a house. The "Pro Bass Shop" is not constructed of professional dead fish, but it is still a legal and legitimate name. You do not have a case, you would not be allowed to even bring it to court.|||In Sydney, you can walk into fast food shops and buy Homemade Cakes. So let me ask. When are homemade cakes not made at home? When the cakes are made in a factory and the business name is. Homemade Cakes. Your shop is the same.
