Get one which is approved by the British Council to be on the safe side. The British Council has offices in most big cities, I am sure you can find one in Italy. About accommodation, London is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Even a bad room in a student house in a bad part of London will cost you a fair bit. There is a newspaper called Loot which list rooms to rent, it is the paper most people in London use to find somewhere to live. Maybe the British Council or the embassy can advise you about that as well. London can be a dangerous place for a young girl. You need a safe base at the end of the day.
